Esto se complica para los estudiantes de cualquier nivel.
En Español tenemos solo “otro/as y otros/as) Some people believe in science. Others believe in religion. En este caso others se pone en plural porque ya no incluye sustantivo. En otras palabras ya no repito “people” Other people believe in religion.
Ahora veamos “another and another one” Do you have an interview at 1pm? Yes, I do. And I have another one at 2pm. En este caso agregamos otra y le ponemos one para no repetir la palabra interview.
Finalmente, “the other” se usa para presentar opciones en singular o plural. Ejemplo, Do you want this laptop or the other one? ¿Quieres esta laptop o la otra? Do you want these ones or the others? ¿Quieres estas o las otras? Así de fácil puedes aprender Inglés. Comparte con todos tus colegas.
